With all the busy tasks await you at work, kids to take care of, and other daily activities, it sounds like there’s no time to do some favor for your body. Despite the routines and busy schedules, you must always find a way to keep your body toned. And this doesn’t necessarily mean an intense exercise. There are several things that can help you get back to normal shape and have a healthy body. To gain more energy, have a more youthful skin, sleep better, and ultimately maintain a leaner body, these rules are what you need.
1. Eat Vegetables and Fruits a Day
As vegetarians, it’s expected to eat these foods. Of course, there must be lots of greens and berries on the plate. Yet, you have plenty of choices of organic and healthy foods. Make sure to have several cups of various veggies and fruits everyday. Also, be familiar with the foods that have high amount of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytonutrients, and proteins.
2. Choose Whole Grain Over Wheat
Whole grain gluten-free products, such as whole grain bread, quinoa, wild rice, millet, are always recommended to eat. They are much healthier than wheat, because the nutrients aren’t removed. During the process of wheat, some essential nutrients are taken away, which is why it’s also called as refined foods.
3. Avoid Sugars and Fats
Some desserts and snacks are tempting to eat. Who cannot crave for such foods if you have sweet tooth? There’s nothing wrong if you eat something sweet, but keep in mind how unhealthy they can be over time. So it’s best to avoid them as much as possible. The same must be applied in foods with fats. There are good and bad fats. You better go for the good ones, since they are essential for your immune and nervous system, as well as hormones. These can help you prevent certain diseases, which include obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and cancers.
4. Have Nuts and Seeds
Daily consumption of almonds, walnuts, flaxseeds, sesame seeds, and other types of nuts and seeds is also recommended. You can just eat them as snacks. They’re crunchy and tasty that make you full and add some energy. You may also add some to your smoothie, bowl of fruits, or favorite dessert.
5. Drink Lots of Water
Water is vital to keep your body hydrated and energetic. You must drink 8 glasses or more a day. Juice from fresh vegetables and fruits is also a nice choice. It’s alright to have some 2 to 3 glasses everyday. Instead of coffee in the morning or alcohol at night, have a cup of green tea. All these beverages are healthy, i.e. immune system enhancer and energy booster.
It’s also good to have at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. That span of time isn’t really a lot, so there must be no excuse to say no at all. You can do squat while waiting for your food to be cooked. You may run in circles around the house once you wake up in the morning. Have a rope jumping. There’s also a treadmill or recumbent bike that you can buy and use. What this means is that you can choose any form of exercise without necessarily going to the gym.
The golden rule is to never skip a meal, especially breakfast. You must eat three meals a day. If you have a proper diet and regular exercise, it won’t be a problem to have a leaner, healthier body in the long run. These 6 rules are what you must always keep in mind and do if you like to have happiness, a sustainable life, and full of energy.
If you want to maintain a leaner body then please follow these rules and share it with others also!!!
